Daily Inspiration: Meet Stephanie Alston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Alston.

Hi Stephanie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Really easy story. My daughter graduated from high school, I threw her a graduation party, I bought an inflatable booth for guests to take pictures in, and someone asked to rent it for their daughters party and from that party 2 people asked if they could rent it out, and after that I said, I’m going to start a business. I bought a Digital Touchscreen Booth, another inflatable booth and a 360 booth and launched my business. Feb, 2021.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For the most part it has been very smooth , there can be technical difficulties sometimes but you have to be able to improvise and figure it out quickly. The show must go on.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I run a PHOTOBOOTH business. I have about 7 different booths. Since I’ve started I have been able to train others when starting their business. I’m most proud to be able to still be going strong after 5 years. Every year I add a new booth to the business. I’m also proud that my kids are able to run the business for me when I have multiple bookings or out of town. I believe my creativity , my kindness and love for humanity and wanting my guests to have a memorable event, sets me apart from others.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was a tom boy. I loved playing out side. Climbing trees , playing sports, skating, riding my bike, playing with my siblings and cousins. I also sing so if I wasn’t playing I was somewhere singing. In fact at 18 years old, my siblings and I were on showtime at the Apollo.
