Hidden Gems: Meet Jennifer Frank of The EveryBODY Organization

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Frank.

Hi Jennifer, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is Jennifer Frank and I am the Founder of a local nonprofit called The EveryBODY Organization. We raise money for community members who can’t afford their eating disorders treatment. It can be extremely costly to receive treatment-upwards of six-figures and it is often not covered by health insurance companies/plans. In 2012, I was teaching Fashion Merchandising when a young student of mine lost her life to an eating disorder. We started The EveryBODY Fashion Show in 2013 in her honor/memory and started The EveryBODY Organization in 2024 after realizing just how many of our community members were struggling to pay for their treatment.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There have been significant challenges in starting a nonprofit in this tough economic climate but our team is hard working and we have successfully managed to navigate these challenges.

We’ve been impressed with The EveryBODY Organization , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Ohio has 1.18 million individuals experiencing an eating disorder. This is higher than the national average. Less than 50% percent of those struggling can afford to pay for their treatment. Our nonprofit helps these individuals receive the life-saving treatment that they need. We are proud to have helped individuals as young as six years old get started on their road to recovery.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was very different growing up than I am now. There is not a person who would have guessed that I would grow up to be the founder of a nonprofit. I was extremely shy and quiet with very little self confidence.
