Rising Stars: Meet Olivia Aynes of Ohio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Olivia Aynes.

Hi Olivia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My photography journey started long before I ever imagined owning a business. Growing up, I experienced challenges within my family that taught me resilience at a young age and shaped how deeply I value connection, relationships, and preserving meaningful memories. I’ve always been drawn to documenting people and the moments that matter most. What began as a creative hobby quickly turned into a passion as friends and family started asking me to photograph their milestones and special occasions.

As I continued learning and investing in my craft, that passion grew into a business serving couples and families throughout Cincinnati area and beyond. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of traveling across the country photographing weddings, engagements, growing families, newborns, and so many meaningful moments in between. One of my favorite parts of this job is building genuine relationships with my clients and creating an experience where they feel comfortable, celebrated, and fully themselves in front of the camera.

My business has grown alongside some of the biggest milestones in my own life. Building this business allowed me to create something of my own and build a future that reflects the values that matter most to me. Recently, becoming a wife, dog mom, and now a mother has given me an even deeper appreciation for the fleeting moments that make up our stories. It has reinforced why I do what I do, because photographs become some of the most treasured reminders of the people and seasons we love most.

Today, I’m grateful to run a business that allows me to combine creativity, connection, and storytelling. Whether I’m documenting a wedding day, a family session, or the quiet moments in between, my goal remains the same: to create timeless images that help people remember exactly how it felt to be there.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced my share of challenges along the way. One of the most difficult was losing my father in my early 20s, which shaped how I view memories and the importance of preserving them. Later in my business journey, all of my photography equipment was stolen, forcing me to rebuild from the ground up after years of hard work and investment.

I’ve also navigated family challenges, the ups and downs of entrepreneurship, and now the balancing act of motherhood and business ownership. My son is only four months old, and I’m currently learning how to be both a present mom and a business owner while working from home. It’s a season that’s stretching me in new ways, but it’s also deepened my appreciation for the life and business I’ve built. I’m incredibly thankful that I worked so hard to build this business, because it allows me to stay home with him during these precious early months.

While the road hasn’t always been easy, every challenge has taught me resilience, strengthened my perspective, and shaped the person and business owner I am today.

I’m a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Cincinnati, specializing in documenting genuine, meaningful moments for couples and families. While I love creating beautiful images, my passion goes far beyond photography itself, I love building relationships with my clients and telling their stories in a way that feels authentic to them.

I’m known for creating a relaxed and comfortable experience that allows people to be fully present rather than worrying about being in front of a camera. My style blends timeless imagery with real emotion, focusing on the moments that often become the most meaningful memories years down the road.

What I’m most proud of is building a business from the ground up that allowed me to leave my traditional job and pursue photography full-time. Through years of hard work, growth, and perseverance, I’ve created a business that now supports my family and gives me the flexibility to stay home with my four-month-old son while continuing to do the work I love. Creating a life where I can be both a present mother and a business owner is something I’m incredibly grateful for.

I’m also proud of the trust my clients place in me and the relationships that often continue long after their wedding or session is over. Many of my couples return for maternity, newborn, and family photos, allowing me to document some of life’s biggest milestones alongside them.

I think what sets me apart is that I truly care about the people I serve. Every client is more than just a date on my calendar. I invest in getting to know them, supporting them throughout the process, and creating photographs that feel genuine, personal, and lasting. I’m also passionate about serving my clients wherever their story takes them. I’ve photographed weddings and sessions throughout the country, from Florida to most recently the Bahamas. In fact, I photographed a destination wedding in the Bahamas while 32 weeks pregnant because I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to celebrate such an important moment with my clients. That experience perfectly reflects my commitment to showing up, going the extra mile, and creating an unforgettable experience no matter where the destination may be.

What makes you happy?
These days, happiness looks a lot like the little things. Slow mornings with my husband and son, watching Rowan grow and learn new things every day, spending time with family and friends, and getting to do work that I genuinely love. I feel incredibly fortunate to have built a business that allows me to be present for my family while also helping others preserve some of their most meaningful memories. That balance is something I don’t take for granted.
