Rising Stars: Meet Niyh Love of Columbus

Today we’d like to introduce you to Niyh Love.

Hi Niyh, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey has been anything but easy, but every experience I’ve gone through has played a major role in shaping the woman and entrepreneur I am today. I’ve always been someone who wanted more for myself and was determined to create something of my own.

My professional journey started in behavioral and mental health, where I spent years working with children, adolescents, and adults. That experience taught me patience, compassion, resilience, and the importance of understanding people beyond what you see on the surface. At the same time, I’ve always had a creative side and a love for beauty, fashion, and entrepreneurship.

Eventually, I decided to take that creativity and turn it into something tangible. That’s how PR3SS’D COLLECTION was born. What started as an idea became a real business, and I’ve been learning how to build, market, create, and grow a brand from the ground up. I’m also a hairstylist and have built experience in the beauty industry while working in a beauty supply store, which has given me an even deeper understanding of the industry and the women I want to serve.

Getting to where I am today has required me to push through challenges, setbacks, financial struggles, and moments where I questioned myself. But I never stopped believing that I was capable of creating a better life for myself. Today, I’m focused on building multiple streams of income, growing my businesses, and creating a future that gives me freedom while also allowing me to inspire other women to bet on themselves.

I’m still in the building stage, and I’m proud of that. I’m not where I ultimately want to be yet, but I’m much further than where I started—and I’m just getting started. 💕

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not. My journey has definitely had its challenges, and there have been plenty of moments when I felt like giving up. Building a business while also working and trying to create stability for myself has taught me that entrepreneurship is not always as glamorous as it looks from the outside.

I’ve dealt with financial struggles, setbacks, uncertainty, and moments where I had to figure things out without having all the resources or support I needed. There were times when I had to choose between simply getting through the moment and investing in the future I was trying to build.

One of my biggest struggles has been learning how to believe in myself even when things weren’t moving as quickly as I wanted them to. I’ve had to learn patience, discipline, consistency, and how to keep showing up even when I didn’t feel motivated.

But honestly, those difficult seasons shaped me. They made me more resilient and more determined. Every obstacle taught me something about myself, business, and life. I wouldn’t say I’m grateful for every struggle, but I am grateful for the woman those struggles have forced me to become. Now, when something doesn’t go according to plan, I don’t see it as the end—I see it as another opportunity to figure it out and keep going.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work is centered around beauty, creativity, entrepreneurship, and creating opportunities for myself and others. I’m the CEO and founder of PR3SS’D COLLECTION, a beauty brand specializing in handmade press-on nail sets designed to give women the experience of having beautiful, salon-quality nails without always having to sit in a salon. I’m also a hairstylist specializing in hair installs, including quick weaves, sew-ins, and wig installs.

Alongside my businesses, I’ve spent years working in behavioral and mental health, working with children, adolescents, and adults. That part of my career is extremely important to me because it has allowed me to make a genuine difference in people’s lives while developing a deeper understanding of people and their individual journeys.

I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve been able to take ideas that started in my head and turn them into actual businesses and products. PR3SS’D COLLECTION is more than just nails to me—it represents creativity, independence, and betting on yourself.

What sets me apart is that I’m not afraid to wear multiple hats. I’m a business owner, creator, hairstylist, employee, and someone who is constantly learning and evolving. I’m building my brands from the ground up while still navigating life and its challenges. I believe my authenticity is one of my biggest strengths. I’m not trying to portray a perfect journey—I’m showing what it looks like to build something while becoming the person you’re meant to be along the way.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was always very creative, independent, and full of personality. I’ve always had a strong sense of who I am, even when I was still figuring myself out. I was the type of person who could be quiet and observant one moment and then completely goofy and outgoing the next. I’ve always had a big heart and naturally cared about the people around me.

I’ve also always been drawn to beauty, fashion, hair, nails, and anything that allowed me to express myself creatively. I loved experimenting with different looks and paying attention to the little details that made something stand out.

Looking back, I can see that the entrepreneurial side of me was there long before I actually recognized it. I’ve always liked doing things my own way, coming up with ideas, and imagining what I could create. I didn’t necessarily have a clear vision of becoming a business owner when I was younger, but I definitely had that “I want to do something of my own” mindset.

I think the biggest thing about me growing up was that I’ve always been a dreamer. Even when life didn’t necessarily reflect the future I imagined for myself, I still believed there was something bigger waiting for me. That same little girl who loved being creative is still here—I just finally gave her the space to turn those ideas into reality.
