Exploring Life & Business with Lisha Navarro of The Elite Event Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisha Navarro.

Hi Lisha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into the event industry grew naturally from my background in brand marketing and advertising. Working in that industry gave me an early understanding of how creativity, storytelling, presentation, and experience all work together to shape how people connect with a brand. Over time, I realized those same skills translated beautifully into events where instead of simply communicating a story, I could create an experience that allowed people to actually step into it.

That foundation eventually led me deeper into event planning, coordination, marketing, and operations. Over the years, I’ve built more than a decade of experience creating everything from weddings and milestone celebrations to corporate gatherings, community events, festivals, and large-scale cultural experiences.

That experience ultimately led me to build The Elite Event Co., where I’ve been able to combine my marketing background, creativity, and passion for bringing people together into a business centered around creating experiences with intention. For me, event planning has never been just about making a space look beautiful. It’s about understanding the purpose behind an event, how you want people to feel when they walk into the room, and what you want them to remember when they leave.

My professional journey has also continued within the corporate world, giving me experience in event coordination, administration, vendor management, logistics, and team experiences. Having both an entrepreneurial and corporate background has shaped the way I approach events today. I understand the creative vision, but I also understand the strategy, budgets, timelines, communication, and organization required to bring that vision to life.

I’m also a wife and mom, and balancing family, entrepreneurship, and my professional career has been an important part of my journey. It has challenged me, motivated me, and reminded me that success doesn’t always follow a straight path.

Today, I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but I still feel like I’m building. I want to continue growing The Elite Event Co., creating larger and more meaningful experiences, developing strong partnerships, and using my work to make an impact within my community. My journey has taught me that sometimes your purpose isn’t something you discover all at once it reveals itself as you continue to grow, take chances, and recognize how the experiences you’ve collected along the way can come together to create something uniquely your own.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, and I think that’s an important part of my story. One of my biggest challenges has been learning how to balance entrepreneurship, a professional career, motherhood, marriage, and still make space for myself as an individual. There have been seasons when I’ve questioned whether I was doing too much, not doing enough, or moving in the right direction at all.

Building a business comes with its own set of challenges. You’re constantly learning sometimes through trial and error how to price your value, attract the right clients, manage finances, market yourself, build relationships, and create consistency while still delivering at a high level. There have been opportunities that didn’t work out, moments of disappointment, and times when I’ve had to adjust my vision and start again.

I’ve also had to learn that growth doesn’t always look the way you expect it to. My journey has included working in different industries and roles while continuing to build The Elite Event Co. Rather than viewing those experiences as detours, I’ve learned to recognize how each one has strengthened a different part of who I am as a business owner and event professional.

Probably one of the biggest lessons has been learning not to compare my timeline to anyone else’s. Success can look very different when you’re building a career, raising a family, nurturing relationships, and pursuing a dream at the same time.

The road hasn’t always been easy or linear, but every challenge has helped me become more resourceful, confident, and intentional. I’m still learning and evolving, and I think being willing to continue growing even when the path isn’t perfect has been one of the most important parts of getting me to where I am today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about The Elite Event Co. ?
The Elite Event Co. is a full-service event planning and management company focused on creating intentional, memorable experiences. We work across weddings, milestone celebrations, corporate events, community and cultural events, festivals, and other special experiences. Our services can range from full-service planning and event management to coordination, vendor management, logistics, and experience development.

What I believe sets The Elite Event Co. apart is that we don’t simply plan events we think about the entire guest experience. My background in brand marketing and advertising has heavily influenced how I approach event planning. I’m always thinking about the story we’re telling, who the audience is, how the event should make them feel, and what details will make the experience memorable long after it ends.

That means looking beyond décor and asking deeper questions: What is the purpose of this event? What does this celebration represent? How should guests feel when they arrive? What moments will encourage them to engage, connect, celebrate, or even come back again?

I’m especially passionate about bringing together the creative and operational sides of events. I love developing the vision and experience, but I’m equally invested in the timelines, budgets, vendor relationships, logistics, communication, and countless behind-the-scenes details required to execute it successfully.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud that The Elite Event Co. continues to evolve. We aren’t limited to one type of event or one definition of what an event planner should be. We can create an intimate milestone celebration and then step into a corporate gathering, large community festival, cultural gala, or experiential event and bring that same level of intention and care.

Ultimately, I want people to know that when they work with The Elite Event Co., they’re not just hiring someone to organize an event. They’re gaining a partner who genuinely cares about the vision, understands the strategy behind creating an experience, and is committed to bringing all of the moving pieces together in a way that feels seamless and meaningful.

For us, it’s not just about how an event looks it’s about how it feels, what it represents, and what people remember.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
If there’s one thing I’d like readers to take from my story, it’s that you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. Some of the most meaningful parts of my journey have come from being willing to evolve, take chances, learn from experiences that didn’t go as planned, and continue showing up.

I’m a big believer that the experiences we collect throughout our lives personally and professionally are rarely wasted. My background in marketing and advertising, my corporate experience, entrepreneurship, motherhood, relationships, and even the challenges along the way have all shaped the woman and business owner I am today.

I also want people, especially other women balancing multiple roles and responsibilities, to know that you’re allowed to have more than one dream. You can build a career, build a business, be present for your family, pursue new opportunities, and continue discovering who you are along the way. It may not always happen at the same pace or look exactly how you imagined, but that doesn’t make the journey any less meaningful.

I’m incredibly excited about what’s ahead for The Elite Event Co. I want to continue creating experiences that bring people together, celebrate culture and community, strengthen brands, and create memories that genuinely mean something.

I’m still building, still learning, and still dreaming bigger and I think that’s one of the most exciting parts of my story.
