Today we’d like to introduce you to Niecee Epps.
Hi Niecee, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
As a teenager, my mother, on my 16th birthday, gave me eyeshadow palette; she only allowed me to wear eyeshadow but nothing on my face. After graduating, I wanted to advance to concealer and mascara. Still not wanting to do too much, continuing to practice on myself, I got better with adding foundation, lashes and other full-face products. In 2018 I started to get inquiries on make-up, my friends would also try to encourage me to do other girls’ makeup, but I didn’t feel like I was skilled enough, not believing in myself and being too concerned with all the challenges I would face. Later that year in Dec I decided to finally take a leap out on faith and start taking Bookings. 6 months in, I had my first makeup class that was sold out. 5 years later, with consistency and constant practicing, my business continues to be successful, having a great clientele built, getting to work with Celebrities such as Kandi Burruss, Tiny Harris, and Brittany Renner while having done events and Fashion shows, and doors open I didn’t think were possible for me. I believe anything can happen with God and hard work.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a full-time Makeup Artist in Columbus, Ohio. I’m known for my brand TeamGorgeous. What sets me apart from others is the experience I give, how I really connect with my clients while staying professional, customer service is very big to me! I’m most proud of all the things I’ve accomplished in a short time. I truly feel like I’m on the right path in life!
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
In 5 years or less, I see myself doing makeup for a TV network, movie set, or the red carpet.
