Rising Stars: Meet Chase Cooper of Genoa Ohio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chase Cooper.

Hi Chase , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We started the same way many great ideas begin: two brothers in a kitchen making spaghetti one saturday night laughing about one of my brother, Nate’s, many business ideas. One thing led to another and since we both had been talking about buying a golf simulator for ourselves.., it hit us! Why keep it in our garage when we could bring it to everyone else’s driveway?

But the real roots go deeper. Golf has always been family for us. Especially because of our grandfather, or as we call him, Bumpa. The 5’1″ Toledo legend with seven hole‑in‑ones put clubs in our hands, taught us patience, and showed us how golf brings people together.

So, in January 2025, we took the leap! We couldn’t afford a $50,000 trailer, so we went with inflatable tents. Bought two full simulator setups, and accidentally spent $23,791 instead of the $8,000 we planned. It worked! The first time we ever set up our simulators to full functionality. It was just me and Nate in our backyard. No customers, no pressure, just the two of us staring at something we built actually working. That first round of 18 we played felt unreal. Every shot made us realize we could turn this into something amazing. When we finished, we didn’t even celebrate. We immediately started talking about what this could become and what our next step was.

We launched June 1st, 2025, and in just one summer — even while juggling school — we brought in almost $10,000. Graduation parties, bachelor parties, fairs, festivals, indoor setups during storms, even a restaurant league on slow Tuesday nights. We saw people of all ages light up when golf came to them.

Today, we are trying to grow, build our brand, improve our setup time, and expand beyond the summer season. Our goal is simple: bring unforgettable golf experiences to people anytime, anywhere – from backyards… to businesses… to winter‑proof indoor events!

That’s how two brothers, a fun idea, and a whole lot of golf memories turned into AA Golf Sims.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nate and I both love golf and love the entrepreneurial experience, but the reality is that we’re also two students trying to build a future at the same time we’re building a business. Nate is in his third year at Hiram College studying business management with a minor in economics. I am in my junior year of High School. As much as we are pouring absolutely everything that we can into this business, we are struggling with bigger marketing idea’s, showcasing the sims at as many events as we can, time and, of course, the funds to hit a hole in one with this business. We are balancing our lives in one hand while we struggle to hold on to the dream of what this business can and will become in the other. We keep pushing, because even with the late nights, the long drives, and the “how are we going to make this work?” moments, we know what this business can become. We’ve seen the excitement, the smiles, and the “this is awesome” awe from everyone who uses it. Those moments remind us why we started — and why we’re not letting go.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At AA Golf Sims, what we do is pretty simple. We bring a full golf simulator experience straight to people’s homes, businesses, and events. Instead of making people drive across town, pay high prices, or squeeze into a crowded indoor facility, we show up wherever they are and turn that space into a place to play golf. Driveways, backyards, barns, parking lots, even indoor batting cages during storms. If there’s room for a tent and an outlet, we can make it work!

People know us for the experience we create. Families use us for parties, golfers use us for practice, and businesses use us to bring in customers on slow nights. We’ve done graduation parties, bachelor parties, festivals, and even a restaurant league that turned a dead Tuesday night into one of their busiest nights.

What sets us apart is that we’re mobile, we’re affordable, and we’re real. There’s nothing like AA Golf Sims in Northwest Ohio. Traditional simulator places require travel, higher prices, and you’re usually separated from the people you came with. We eliminate all of that. We show up, set up, and create a shared experience right where people already are. And because we’re two brothers building this from the ground up, people feel that. We’re not a big company. We’re just two guys who love golf, love people, and love the idea of bringing something fun right to their door.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
For us, the most important quality behind our success is the way we both try to give 100 percent. In any relationship or partnership, things are never perfectly balanced. It’s never going to be fifty–fifty. Some days it’s seventy‑five and twenty‑five, and the key is that we both try to be the person giving the seventy‑five. That mindset, along with a never‑give‑up attitude, is what keeps us moving forward even when school, time, or life gets in the way. We’ve learned that if we both show up ready to carry more than our share when the other person needs it, the business stays steady and we stay steady. That work ethic is what will push us further with this business.
