Hi Vallery, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started doing nails since 2020, I was a sophomore in school. My interest in nails has always been a little part of my life since a little girl. I played around with different techniques such as acrylics, poly gel, dip, gel, and nail art when I was a beginner. My interest in nails grew tremendously throughout the years, which led me to start practicing my skills on trustworthy family and friends. As my love for nails grew, so did my creativity and skills.
In 2021, I realized that some techniques just weren’t the right fit for me. That’s when I decided to explore other options I hadn’t tried yet and that’s when I discovered Gel X from Aprés. The first few try’s were some getting used to. But of course, after many practices on my sisters and cousins I finally got the hang of it. At this time, not many clients/people knew what gel x was, which was a bit of a challenge, I soon realized I had to educate it’s benefits. Soon after that, I was able to gain a lot of attraction for doing gel x on social media, gel x at the time was not a service that was often available in nail salons.
In 2022, my parents realized that my passion for nails was more than just a fun hobby. So they helped me enroll into nail school after I graduated high school. I enrolled into Raphael’s Beauty School in Alliance towards the end of the summer.
After graduating from nail school, my entrepreneurial spirit pushed me to test the waters of a traditional commission based salon, but six months was all I needed to realize I was ready to chart my own course. By November 2023, I had secured a cozy salon suite that matched both my budget and my growing skill set. In just one year, strategic use of social media and enthusiastic word of mouth turned that tiny space into a thriving studio, and every new client into a valued relationship. The connections I build at the table are the backbone of my business, and they fuel my constant search for ways to elevate their experience. That drive led me to pair Gel X with structure gel manicures, a combination that nurtures natural nails while delivering flawless art. After testing countless products, I found my perfect match in IZEMI, a South Korean brand whose clarity, viscosity, and cutting edge formulas align with my standards. Specializing in Korean and Japanese gels has not only refined my craft but also set my studio apart as a destination for innovation and healthy, beautiful nails.
After one year in my salon suite, I made the decision to expand my business. It had always been a dream of mine to open a nail salon not just any salon, but one that represents both my passion for nail art and my commitment to natural nail health. On May 17, 2025, that dream became reality with the official grand opening of Nail Sincerely Salon. I set out to create a space where nail technicians could truly express their artistry, free from the limitations of a traditional salon environment. Nail Sincerely Salon is a gel-only salon that specializes in Gel X extensions, structure gel manicures, and nail art. We use a curated selection of high-quality products sourced from trusted brands based in the US, South Korea, Japan, and China. We operate exclusively by appointment and do not accept walk-ins. This structure ensures that every client receives the undivided attention of their nail technician, without the pressure to rush. My goal was to build a dream team of artists who are just as passionate about nail health as they are about intricate design.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Has it been a smooth road? Absolutely not. Building a business is never easy, but looking back, I know that every challenge I faced was necessary to get me to where I am today. I started my career during one of the darkest times in my life—yet somehow, it was also one of the most defining and transformative moments. As strange as it sounds, it was both my lowest and my prime. Ever since experiencing that loss, I’ve been living by the motto you only live once, and I truly stand by it. The motivation I held onto, along with the unwavering support from my family and friends, is what carried me through. Without taking those steps, even when it felt hard or uncertain, I truly don’t know where I’d be right now.

I’m the owner and nail technician at Nails Sincerely Salon, where I specialize in Gel X, Korean and Japanese gel, structure gel manicures, and intricate nail art. I’m best known for the detailed designs I create, my expertise in the services I offer, and my ability to stay on top of today’s nail trends through social media.
What I’m most proud of is how far I’ve come, building a business from the ground up, I literally started in my basement. I’ve created a space that not only reflects my passion for nails but also uplifts other nail technicians and prioritizes client care and nail health. What sets me apart is my dedication to both the art and the science behind nails. I don’t just focus on making nails look good, I care deeply about maintaining the natural nail’s integrity. My salon offers a personalized experience that’s different from the traditional walk in model; every client gets one on one attention in a calm, focused environment. I also take pride in specializing in advanced techniques like Gel X and structure gel, using top quality products from Korea, Japan, the US, and China, and staying ahead of trends through social media. It’s this combination of passion, precision, and intention that makes Nails Sincerely more than just a salon, it’s an experience.

What matters most to me is my clients’ experience. From the moment they walk in to the moment they leave, I want every client to feel valued, relaxed, and confident in the service they are receiving. It is not just about beautiful nails, it is about creating a space where people feel seen, heard, and taken care of. I believe that the energy and intention behind a service are just as important as the result. When a client sits at my table, they are not just booking an appointment, they are investing in self care, and I take that seriously. Their trust means everything to me, and I always strive to make each visit a positive and memorable one.
