Meet Kim Kramer of The Kim Kramer Real Estate Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kim Kramer. 

Hi Kim, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My family is from the south. Not wealthy, just hard workers. Getting our strength and our worth from the land. Farmers for generations. The value the status has always been about the land. Little did I know I would come full circle and devote my career to the selling of land, homes, etc. It’s always been about the land, my connection to it…it would take years before I realized it. I had a failed marriage, raising 3 kids on my own. Pinching pennies, reusing paper plates, all of us sleeping in the same bed and lawn chairs for living room furniture in our small apartment… Starting a new life with nothing but I knew I had to provide for my kids. I made handmade t-shirts and sold ribbons on street corners for grocery money. I had meaningless jobs pre-real estate. Retail, management positions. A ton of hours and very little appreciation by both your bosses and the public. Just got tired of it. Someone suggested I try real estate saying it’s never too late to reinvent yourself. So, I did. I met someone who believed I could do anything I out my mind to and accepted my kids as his. New love and a goal to succeed. I went from being a residential sales “newbie”… to “Rookie of the Year”…to a high office sales producer …to a “MEGA Million Dollar Sales producer… to being a team leader, expanding commercial sales to my resume and maintaining Mega sales status…and an office leader. My grandmother worked the fields but always had her pearls on. My mindset is to always dress for success…which is why my slogan is “Doing Deals in Heels!” 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
You get your license and are thrown to sink or swim. On-the-job training. High stress… everything is very legal. You must be very organized. It’s paramount to take care of your clients, or they won’t refer you. Make it as stress-free as possible, so they tell their friends, family, etc. There are far more women in this career choice…but in commercial sales, women are not as easily accepted as an equal. You either have to bring in a man as a partner or be very aggressive, talk trash sometimes, and cuss! You have to work twice as hard to be considered half as good as your male counterparts. A lot of competition between agents. 

Not to mention you don’t get a regular paycheck. You have to be a big planner and keep to a budget. 

We’ve been impressed with The Kim Kramer Real Estate Group, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My team is one of the top producing teams in our office. I work with the same people (title/lenders etc.) around me for years because they take as good as care as my clients as I do…as I expect them to. I migrate towards empowering women that need to reinvent themselves, much like I had to do. To help them see their worth and realize they have the power to better their world, and it’s never too late. I am known in the office as someone who is tough. Someone you don’t want to mess with. It’s been said I would “cut a bitch” if you piss me off. lol. I kind of like that persona. But really…I am the first-person agents call for advice or help with sticky situations. I am the organizer of events and ALWAYS have my phone on me up until 3 am. Everyone (clients, agents, family, and friends) knows they can get me on the phone! 

You know I have been “somewhere” …when you see my signs with my team logo and our high heels. It’s our brand. We offer a confidential conversation at the listing appointment, staging help, and a thorough market analysis. We offer a free moving truck to our buyers. 

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Handling ALL the issues that come up in a transaction and not have my clients even realize there was any (Issues). My job is to keep deals together. Seamless. Stress-free for my clients. What matters most is that their experience is smooth and worry-free, so that they refer me to their family and friends. Selling/buying a home is one of the top 5 most stressful times in any person’s life. If I can help navigate that to be easy and stress-free…, all the better for me and my clients. Also, treat the other agent with as much respect that I can. (Sometimes, that is hard in this business if they aren’t to the level of service that I am) Reputation is everything in this business. 80% of my business is based on referrals from past clients.
