Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominique Poe.
Hi Dominique, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Dominique Poe, I’m 21 years old born & raised in Columbus, OH! I grew up in a Christian household where my grandmother would wake me up singing “This is the Day” every morning! She planted the seed that made me exactly who I am today, followed by nights of prayers that she still prays to this day. I was introduced to the Church at a very young age, became distant for a while, and then came back starting a walk of my own. As I discovered Jesus for myself, I couldn’t help but desire that everyone else hears about him as well. This is what influenced my clothing brand “Chosen One DK”! I wanted to bring light to our Savior in a way that would catch my generations eye & what better way to do that than through fashion. Our slogan is “Winning Souls While Selling Clothes” and I have no desire to stop until all have heard.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
A struggle that has came up would definitely be consistency. Becoming a CEO at such a young age definitely has shifted my perspective on how to manage time & make the best decisions possible for Chosen One DK but it is definitely a battle while still trying to maintain everyday life. From going to work, to balancing friendships, while still feeling my relationship with God daily, I’ve found that time management is crucial for success.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory would definitely be waking up on Sunday Morning’s and getting ready to hear my Aunt preach at church. Although I may not have been focused during sermons, I know for a fact that she also planted a seed & many prayers within me that make me who I am.
