Meet Danny Miller

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Danny Miller. Danny was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Caleb Folkerts.

Hi Danny, we’re so thrilled to have you sharing your story with us today. Maybe we can kick things off by having you introduce yourself to our readers? We’d love to have you go into your story and how you got to where you are today.
I have a background in emergency room nursing as a registered nurse and have been practicing as a psychiatric nurse practitioner since 2018. I started with a large non-profit in Tennessee seeing ages 5 and up from all walks of life. When the COVID pandemic hit, I began conducting telehealth visits and for the past 3 years have remained in that medium. My family relocated to northern Ohio and I discovered Cornerstone Behavioral Health and inquired about a position with the organization as I identified with their mission and was attracted to the variety of therapies they offer clients.

Let’s talk about your work and career – what else should we know?
I have a passion for mental health as I appreciate the significance of being included in the personal journey of client’s life’s. I specifically care greatly about diminishing the stigma related to mental health treatment as so many people delay care as a result of previous experience or negative beliefs about mental health treatment options. I enjoy getting to know my clients and how they feel about treatment past and present. I always include my clients in the decision making process regarding their care. This approach is very rewarding as a provider as clients seem to adhere to treatment plans more consistently as they are comfortable with the decisions being made for their treatment. My goal is to always improve the quality of life of those who seek help.

Caleb Folkerts and Cornerstone Behavioral Health have been great to us and I know you’ve got a great relationship with them as well. Maybe you can tell our audience a bit about Caleb Folkerts and Cornerstone Behavioral Health and your experience with them.
CBH offers flexibility with premium mental health care as we are able to fulfill multiple therapy modality needs as well as medication services all in house. CBH offers medication and therapy telehealth services to adults throughout the state of Ohio with a user friendly interface that offers clients the ability to schedule and communicate vie secure messaging directly to clinicians. My experience with the CBH team from the practice owner to all of the therapists has been fulfilling as the organization meets at minimum once a week to discuss strategies for improvements and continuing education. CBH is a close knit company with plenty of internal communication outside of formal meetings which I enjoy as it contributes greatly to continuity of care and patient outcomes.
