Life & Work with Kayla Fuller

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Fuller.

Hi Kayla, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
A few years ago, when I purchased my first home, I came across some bloggers/influencers that I was easily influenced by and helped me get an idea of what kind of decorating style I wanted to go with. At that time, I had no idea an influencer was a thing and thought that it would be cool to start posting lifestyle and outfit photos. So, I did it, and I wasn’t sure where I was going with it; I still really don’t. I just have fun with it, and it’s super helpful that I have a supportive husband as well! He is such a trooper, if I bribe him with coffee, then he is content taking photos of me!

Now that I have my daughter, who is 2 months old, I’m so excited to start taking photos with her and sharing mommy and me outfits as well on my page!

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest thing that has gotten me is just comparing myself to others; I need to learn to not compare myself to someone who has 50k+ followers. I have a smaller following, but that is ok because if I’m having fun and if I help at least one person, then I am happy!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I originally went to college for Criminal Justice but ended up graduating with my BA in Sociology. However, I’ve actually ended up in the Human Resources field. I work for an international company in their HR department as a Compensation Analyst. I’ve been there for a little over a year and love it!

What was your favorite childhood memory?
The one that I can think of off the top of my head is when my family and I went out West for a week. We went to South Dakota, Wyoming, and hit up the Mall of America on our way home. It was such a great week, and I can’t wait to take my little family there one day!
