Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaden Solis
Hi Jaden, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Ive always been a very crafty person, but I’ve never stuck with just one specific thing. I’ve sold my paintings, clay creations, custom products, digital art, and more throughout my whole life, but I never had a business that everything would fall under. I thought that I needed to stick with one thing and make a business around that, but I could never just stay with one project. At age 20, I was diagnosed with ADHD and a lot of things started making sense, including my inability to stay with one thing, and hoping from project to project. After a few months struggling to “be normal”, I realized that the craziness IS my normal. It’s what I like. Which is why I created Dabblers Crafts, to embrace the craziness in my life and my ADHD. At Dabblers, we dabble in everything and anything- commission paintings or murals, custom shoes, apparel, personalized items, clay creations, and so much more. If you need something, just ask! If I can’t do it, I have a lot of people who I can refer you to! Dabblers Crafts is just (officially) starting up, so I’m really excited to be able to share what it’s all about. I have a goal for Dabblers to be a place where people can come and dabble in their own different crafts. Where you can try out, sell, and buy new and used art/craft supplies.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all! One of my biggest struggles has been myself as I can be extremely self critical and I put down my ideas, but I’m working on that. I also lost my job in September of 2024 when the company I worked for filed bankruptcy, and I’m only just now starting a new job. It put me in a bad state mentally as I was In a really bad financial situation at that point. Now, I’m struggling to have motivation after work, which I feel will change after I’m working a little more again. Working after 4 months of being home is hard on the body!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I do so much, commission and non commissioned paintings, mural (& window) art, custom & personalized products, clay magnets, apparel, digital design and art, logo design, custom party supplies, custom shoes, and so much more! The name Dabblers Crafts comes from the fact that I Dabble in so many Crafts! I’m proud of everything I create, but my most recent charcuterie board magnets have me obsessing over them! What sets me apart from others is that I have so many options, I’ll refer you to another crafter if I know they’ll do better on your project, and I truly work within your budget. I want art to be accessible for everyone, so if my price is too high, I’ll alter what I can to get it down to be within your budget!
