Inspiring Conversations with SIR Evans of Quality SIRvice

Today we’d like to introduce you to SIR Evans.

SIR, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started at over 500 pounds. The darkest period in my life led to a new beginning. I used food as a refuge during high school; it became apparent that this would not do any good when things got tough. There was a period in my life when I didn’t think that I would live to see 25 years old. I didn’t think that I would be telling my story of how I lost over 250 pounds to inspire others. My weight loss was the beginning. It was the moment when I truly recognized that I could do whatever it was that I set my mind to.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road is always going to be rough when there’s always rebuilding & construction taking place. But the bumps in the road manifested in the form of fear of failure, or doubt. Doubt was always in the back of my mind telling me things like “maybe you should quit”, “You have to do this EVERY DAY in order to see change?!?” and the most famous, “let’s just start tomorrow”. There was always some self-sabotage hanging around looking to lend its services to my demise. However, I was always mindful to take it one day at a time.

Another big struggle was ignorance. I just didn’t have any idea what I was doing and when I started there was no one really around who had done what I was attempting to do. So, I had to figure it out on my own, in the beginning.

As you know, we’re big fans of Quality SIRvice. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
For over 10 years, my life work has been dedicated to creating content/products to help businesses, organizations, and individuals maximize their potential. Since losing my mother and sister in 2009, while in College at BGSU, I have been an advocate of mental health, grief as well as spiritual to physical wellness.

Most recently I developed an innovative product (Superpower Planner) that has reshaped the way we view daily planning. Everyone has a Superpower; the key is discovering that power and planning how to utilize it for good.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Before they built the new Cleveland Browns stadium, there used to be a little park that sat behind the old stadium. My dad used to take me down there on the weekends. I would spend what felt like hours down in that park just playing and carefree. I remember my dad telling me, “There’s going to be a point in your life when you’re not going to be able to play the day away my son, so I want to enjoy yourself!”…That was something he would say to me often but for some reason, it resonated that day.

It’s one of my favorite childhood memories because the thought puts me in a state of peace. It brings joy to my heart simply to reflect back on that moment and even on my toughest day I can still see the sun shining from that day as I played without a care in the world…I miss my dad and that park lol
