Hidden Gems: Meet Amy, Jessica & Samantha Klupp of Olive & Oak Company

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy, Jessica & Samantha Klupp.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Our story began with three boy moms—Amy Klupp and her daughters-in-laws, Samantha and Jessica Klupp—who share a passion for fashion and empowering others to look and feel their best. What started as a small online boutique in the back bedroom of Amy’s home has blossomed into something truly special. We poured our hearts into connecting with our community through Facebook, hosting lively Facebook Live sessions to showcase our curated styles and build meaningful relationships with our customer giving them the ultimate “Olive experience”
As our vision and customer base grew, so did our need for space! Within just a few months, we transitioned from that cozy bedroom to our current brick-and-mortar store. Over the years, our commitment to creating a welcoming space for our customers led us to expand our store twice, allowing us to offer an even wider selection of fashion that inspires confidence and joy. For us, Olive & Oak is more than a boutique—it’s our chance to carve out girl time in our boy-mom world and share our love for style with our community. We’re so grateful for the journey and excited to continue helping our customers shine!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We’ve faced our share of challenges while growing our boutique. One of the biggest hurdles has been standing out in a crowded market. When we started, we saw a surge of online boutiques popping up, each vying for attention in the digital space. Competing in this environment required us to get creative and stay true to our mission of offering curated, quality fashion that helps our customers feel confident and empowered.
Additionally, the rise of large online retailers presented a unique challenge. Their low-cost clothing options made it tough to compete on price alone. However, we’ve leaned into what sets us apart: personalized customer service, carefully selected styles, and a community-driven approach that fosters connection and trust. While the road hasn’t always been easy, these challenges have strengthened our resolve to create a boutique that’s not just about fashion, but about making every customer feel special and valued.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Olive & Oak Company?
Olive & Oak Company is a family-run boutique founded by three boy moms—Amy Klupp and her daughters-in-law, Sam and Jessica Klupp—who share a deep passion for fashion and empowering others to look and feel their best. What began as a small online boutique in the back bedroom of Amy’s home has grown into a thriving brick-and-mortar store, thanks to our commitment to quality, community, and connection. We’re known for our personalized approach—whether it’s through our engaging Facebook Live sessions, where we showcase new arrivals and styling tips, or in our welcoming store, where customers become friends. Olive & Oak stands out by prioritizing quality over quantity and connection over competition. Unlike larger retailers, we focus on building relationships with our customers, offering personalized styling advice and creating a community-driven shopping experience. Our family-run ethos means every decision is made with care, from handpicking inventory to ensuring our store feels like a home away from home. We’ve also embraced the challenge of competing with the rise of online boutiques by staying authentic to our values and fostering loyalty through exceptional service.

Brand-wise, we’re incredibly proud of how Olive & Oak has grown from a small online venture to a beloved local boutique with a loyal following. Expanding our physical store twice to accommodate our growing community is a testament to our hard work and the trust our customers place in us. We’re especially proud of the connections we’ve built—turning one-time shoppers into regulars who feel like family. Our ability to adapt, whether through navigating a crowded market or creating memorable in-store and online experiences, fills us with pride and fuels our passion.

We want readers to know that Olive & Oak is more than a boutique—it’s a place where women can find confidence, inspiration, and a sense of belonging. Our offerings include carefully curated clothing and accessories designed to make you feel your best, paired with a shopping experience that’s personal, fun, and uplifting. Whether you’re joining us for a Facebook Live, visiting our store, or browsing online, we’re here to help you shine. We invite you to become part of our Olive & Oak family and experience the joy of fashion with a personal touch.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
AI and digital tools are set to revolutionize how we shop, from hyper-personalized recommendations and virtual try-ons. Over the next decade, we expect seamless omnichannel experiences to become the norm, blending online discovery with in-store magic to reduce returns and boost engagement. As boy moms who started with Facebook Lives, we’re excited to lean into social commerce and live shopping on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, where authentic connections can turn browsing into lasting relationships. This tech shift could help small boutiques like ours stand out against giants by offering that personal touch AI can enhance but never replace.
