Daily Inspiration: Meet Storm Stylez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Storm Stylez.

Hi Storm, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m Sorrm Stylez, I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. My mother is a artist and my father is a barber and former rapper. Being raised by two music lovers I got to experience and soak up a lot of different aspects of art. After many years of procrastinating I’m now ready to display my full talents to the world!

I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio with a mother who’s a painter, and my father was a rapper as well. I started writing raps at 11 but didn’t always have the confidence to put my art on display. After years of trying to deny the fact that I loved music and the process of making music, I decided in 2018 to showcase my talents to the world. I’ve come a long way since then but have so far to go.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. Some of the struggles I’ve dealt with are trying to get people to recognize that the music I’m making isn’t the typical style most artists have. Another struggle I’ve been experiencing is having to find the time while still working full time and being a father to a 6-year-old

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a music artist. I specialize in rap or hip hop. I’m known for my lyrical ability and wittiness. I am most of proud of my progress and my ability to turn a thought into a song. What sets me apart is my work ethic and the time and extra thought I put into making a song come to life!

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My family are my biggest supporters; they definitely deserve recognition for being my biggest fans! I currently have three different projects out on all streaming platforms that my cousin, Tha Audio Unit produced, mixed, and mastered. Tha Audio Unit and I have been working together since 2018 to pioneer the new sound of Columbus hip hop.
