Daily Inspiration: Meet Alesha Lifka

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alesha Lifka.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I graduated massage school in 2012. I decided early on to focus my massage practice on Prenatal and Postpartum moms. I took off some years to focus on raising babies but got back to work in 2019.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not. After I graduated school, I worked for a few years owning my own practice. But after the birth of our second child, I decided to not go back to work. I wanted to be around for my kids when they were so little. Then in 2016, my oldest son was diagnosed with Leukemia. He underwent 3.5 years of chemotherapy, and during that time he, and my family, were my only focus. It wasn’t until he finished his chemo that I decided to go back to work. And when I did, it was just months before the Pandemic hit. So, the road has been a bit rocky to say the least.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I own Mother Nurture Massage. I have offices in Lakewood and North Olmsted. I specialize in Prenatal and Postpartum Massage. I also do Fertility massage and teach Infant Massage Education classes. I basically have built a whole business around supporting fellow moms, and it’s truly my passion. I love it. I’m proud of being able to help moms. I think a lot of times it’s easy for us to remember that we are important too, that it’s not ok to be uncomfortable or be in pain. There are people that can help. But truly, what I am most proud of is my family. I love my kids and my husband more than anything. We have built an amazing life together.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
My family. I think what makes me a great massage therapist and what makes me so passionate about helping moms is I absolutely love being a mom. It is what I was meant to do.
