Check Out Sammie Brown’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sammie Brown.

Sammie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
A lifelong Ohioan, I have lived in and made Findlay my home over the past 17 years. Originally coming to town to attend The University of Findlay I fell in love with the community, which has only gotten better. I share my home with my fiancé, who is also in the real estate business as a property appraiser, our two boys, and our silly dog. We are very active and in our spare time, you can usually catch us at a sporting event or enjoying Findlay’s downtown.

I have a background in Art and a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a certificate in Residential Planning.

Prior to becoming a full-time real estate agent, I worked in the home improvement industry for 12+ years in the construction and design field. The home industry has always been a part of my life in one way or another but I feel as though I have really found my passion as part of the Danberry team. I enjoy getting to help guide buyers and sellers in Hancock and surrounding counties through the world of real estate.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No journey is without bumps in the road. I started my real estate journey at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, this was quite a different experience as I’m sure it affected everyone, their jobs, and life differently, I was no exception. Our industry was considered essential which enabled me to continue to learn and work just with some added restrictions and precautions. With the added regulations and stress of starting a new career in a time of complete uncertainty looking back, I’m so glad I made the leap.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a full-time real estate agent working out of Findlay, OH for the Danberry company. As a real estate agent, I help buyers and sellers in Hancock and surrounding counties buy and sell their homes and investment properties. I’m most proud of the bonds and friendships I have been able to make in such a short period of time. I feel like some realtors are so focused on the next paycheck that they forget the fear and joy behind listing or buying a home, whether it is their first or tenth, every client and situation is different and I always want my clients to feel appreciated and like they are getting the best from me not just someone who is there for their next paycheck.

What are your plans for the future?
Plans for the future, my fiancé and I are planning our wedding here in Findlay at the beginning of September 2022 so we have begun all the planning for that. As far as business goes, I have set goals to keep improving and learning so that I may better help my clients. As the world grows and changes, we must be ready to grow with it and always keep improving ourselves.
