Today we’d like to introduce you to Donna Nguyen.
Donna, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve been a registered nurse for the past few years, and while I’ve always been proud of the work I do in healthcare, I’ve also had this deep love for food, and capturing life’s small, flavorful moments. You could say I’m a nurse by day, foodie by night.
It started taking photos of my meals, sharing restaurant finds, and posting about my go-to comfort foods. But over time, it evolved into something more intentional. I started building a community of people who related to balancing a busy life while still making time for good food, connection, and joy.
Food became my creative outlet, especially during those tougher days in nursing. Whether it was trying new spots, showcasing my Asian-inspired meal preps, or just sharing the vibe of a perfect date.
Now, my platform is this really special mix of who I am: someone who cares deeply for others in my professional life and expresses that same care and creativity through food. It’s been an unexpected journey, but I’m so grateful for how far it’s come—and even more excited for where it’s going.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Balancing nursing and content creation can be exhausting—there were times I felt burnt out or unsure if I could keep up with both. Social media also comes with pressure to grow fast and stay relevant.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m currently an aesthetic nurse, helping patients feel confident and enhance their natural beauty. It’s something I’m incredibly proud of—there’s nothing like seeing someone light up after feeling like the best version of themselves.
My nursing journey began in med-surg during the height of COVID. It was an intense and emotional time, but I learned so much and worked alongside some of the most incredible, resilient nurses. After that, I moved into infertility, where the most rewarding moments came from receiving baby pictures from patients I had supported. Knowing I played even a small role in their path to parenthood meant everything.
What sets me apart as a nurse is my genuine care—I put my heart into everything I do and truly feel deeply for my patients. I’m also a strong team player who’s always ready to support and uplift others. Above all, I pride myself on being honest and transparent in every interaction.
