Today we’d like to introduce you to Athena Moulopoulos.
Athena, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story didn’t start with a business plan—it started with a gap I kept seeing over and over again.
I spent years in the hospitality industry, where I learned how to create experiences, build systems, and lead people—but I also saw firsthand how many people were running on empty. Long hours, high stress, poor nutrition, no real support. At the same time, I was on my own health journey, learning how much proper fuel, structure, and accountability can completely change your life.
That’s what pulled me into the wellness space.
I started small—helping people one-on-one, introducing better habits, better nutrition, and a different way of thinking about their health. What I realized quickly was that people don’t just need products… they need an environment. They need energy, community, and a place that actually makes them want to show up for themselves.
That’s how the original concept was born.
But over time, I outgrew the idea of just being a “nutrition spot.” It became clear that what we were building was something bigger. Not just a place to grab a shake or tea—but a space where people could plug into something that pushes them forward.
That’s where The PWR Movement came from.
The rebrand wasn’t cosmetic—it was strategic. It reflects exactly what we stand for now: a lifestyle rooted in discipline, energy, community, and growth. We’re building a culture where people don’t just come in for a drink—they come in to level up, connect, and be part of something that actually moves them forward.
Today, The PWR Movement is more than a business. It’s a hub. A place where wellness, accountability, and community intersect. And we’re just getting started.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—but that’s part of building something meaningful.
One of the biggest challenges has been building from the ground up with limited resources. In the early stages, you’re doing everything yourself—operations, marketing, customer experience—while still trying to grow and create something that stands out. It requires a lot of discipline, long hours, and the ability to stay focused even when things aren’t moving as quickly as you’d like.
Another challenge has been shifting perception. What we’re building isn’t just a place to grab a shake or tea—it’s a space centered around energy, accountability, and community. Helping people understand that bigger vision, and consistently showing up in a way that reflects it, takes time and intention.
There’s also the challenge of growth itself—learning how to scale while maintaining quality, culture, and the experience that people come in for. That balance is something you have to constantly refine.
But every obstacle has created clarity. It’s forced me to become more strategic, more resilient, and more intentional about the direction of the brand.
At this point, I don’t really see challenges as setbacks—they’re part of the process of building something that actually lasts.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m the owner of The PWR Movement, a wellness-focused community built around nutrition, energy, and accountability. At the core, we provide high-quality shakes and energizing teas—but what we really specialize in is creating an environment that helps people show up for themselves consistently.
My background in hospitality plays a big role in how I operate. I focus heavily on systems, customer experience, and creating a space that people want to be part of—not just visit once. Every detail, from the energy in the room to the way we engage with clients, is intentional.
What I’m most known for is the culture we’re building. People come in for the products, but they stay for the feeling—community, support, and a sense that they’re part of something bigger. We’ve created a space where accountability becomes part of your routine, not something you struggle to maintain on your own.
What I’m most proud of is taking an idea and turning it into something that genuinely impacts people’s daily lives. Seeing customers build better habits, gain confidence, and stay consistent because of the environment we’ve created—that’s the real success.
What sets me apart is that I don’t just focus on the product—I focus on the full experience and the long-term vision. I’m not building a transactional business; I’m building a brand and a movement that people can grow with.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
There are a lot of people behind what we’re building, and I’m very aware that this didn’t happen alone.
First and foremost, Derek—my partner in life and in business. He’s the one who brought the physical space to life. While I focus on the vision and front-facing experience, he worked tirelessly behind the scenes to build out the entire bar from the ground up. A lot of what people see and experience wouldn’t exist without his work, even if he’s not the one in the spotlight.
My family also deserves a lot of credit. They supported this vision from the very beginning, before it was proven, before it made sense to anyone else. That kind of belief and encouragement makes a difference when you’re building something from nothing.
And my friends—they’ve shown up in so many ways, whether it’s supporting, promoting, or simply being there during the highs and lows. Having people around you who genuinely want to see you succeed is invaluable.
At the end of the day, The PWR Movement may have my name attached to it, but it’s absolutely a reflection of the people who have stood behind me and poured into it along the way.
