Meet Asie’ Neal & Darian Kopp of A- List Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Asie’ Neal & Darian Kopp. They and their team shared their story with us below:

A-List Events was created in 2022 by us. We are 2 sisters; Asie’ is the big sister and Darian is the little sister. Growing up we always made birthdays and holidays a big deal. We love decorating and bringing events to life to provide that extra special, personal feeling! We are Columbus natives and look forward to servicing our city. We have always been in the business of taking care of others, as we are also nurses. We are excited to bring memorable, specialized décor to everyone’s one-of-a-kind events. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Honestly, it has been a smooth road. We were well prepared; we took classes to perfect our technique and did extensive research and additional classes to learn the market and business side of things. We wanted to make sure we were providing our clients the best quality of materials for their custom designs and ensure we were also making a profit for ourselves. It’s a delicate balance. We had everything we needed and were ready for when we launched so all we had to do was perform and show everyone what we can offer. 

Now that we have launched, we are trying to find our ideal clients, but that comes with time. We will continue to practice our technique and market our business in the meantime. 

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Events are special moments in people’s lives whether it is a baby shower, birthday, bridal shower or retirement party. We believe the only job that person should have to do on that special day is enjoy the moment. We want to provide a premium service to take the stress of decorating away. We want to add that customized touch to leave your guest in awe and raving about your event. 

We provide balloon structures such as columns, arches, and garlands of various sizes. We also provide centerpieces, mosaic balloon structures, various backdrops, and 4ft light up marquee letters, numbers, and symbols. 

Balloon art is our specialty. It takes a special eye to perfect the placement of each balloon to create the final masterpiece. No two balloon structures are the same or can be replicated. Your décor is unique to you and your event. 

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Our biggest advice is to invest in yourself and your business by taking professional classes to educate yourself on all aspects of the business your are launching. We also advise being prepared by having a website, business cards, social media pages, networking, etc. 

One thing we wish we would’ve known starting out is how much space all of our décor takes up! We underestimated how much space we needed to store our inventory, big time!
